Riding in the Canyon + Hot springs
Our horseback riding tour in San Miguel de Allende starts in a ranch located 45 minutes from the city with a riding lesson easy to follow and very clear. Even those who have never ridden a horse can join in the adventure!
After our lesson, we'll ride our horses down La Virgen Canyon, in an exciting 40 minute-trip during which you'll see impressive cliffs and learn more about life in the countryside of Guanajuato, since we make a few stops at the best places for sightseeing. Your tour guide will let you know what life in La Virgen Canyon is like and you will also have time to get great pictures to share with your friends.
When we get to the bottom of the canyon, you'll see a beautiful river we will cross at various spots... yes, we will cross the river by horse! Once we have gotten to the right spot we'll go for a stroll in the search for quartz crystals and volcanic rocks, there are oh so many of them on the riverside!
By then you'll be a little hungry, so we'll head back to the ranch to enjoy a tasty homemade lunch! All the meals cooked at the ranch are prepared with organic produce grown there. Lunch may be a great moment to share experiences with other travelers and to learn more about life in the countryside from workers at the ranch.
One of the best ways to round up your experience at La Virgen Canyon is by visiting the mineral-rich natural water pools of Escondido Place, with temperatures ranging from 82 to 104 Fahrenheit degrees. Escondido park, on the road to Atotonilco, has beautifully manicured gardens and features both indoors and outdoors pools. You'll love this place! If you need an extra push to complete bliss, a professional massage by the Escondido Lake is offered at an extra cost.
See how a horseback riding tour in San Miguel de Allende can actually make you fall in love with Guanajuato! You'll enjoy every minute of our adventure.
